The Milk Teeth is a Sydney-based boutique creative studio specialising in visual content creation. Run by Nikki Malvar, I capture moments for individuals, and help businesses tell their story.

When I was ten, I made these tiny round creatures out of clay, baked them in the oven, and borrowed my parents' camera. I posed these little guys (who had little eyes and everything) in the playground outside our house, and snapped away. I still recall being so chuffed about my first ever photo series.

Fast forward seventeen years, my subject matter has evolved (for the better), but I still love telling stories.

I truly believe in the power of visuals. Great images engage and inspire - they capture a moment in time, or tell the story of your brand in a split second. I believe great imagery comes from great collaboration, so in working with me, prepare yourself for back and forth email exchanges, inspo boards and my promise to stay true to your vision.

I am available for lifestyle sessions, model portfolios, fashion lookbooks, 'Brand Story' films and more. I am excited to learn about you, and for us to create something beautiful together. Please ask me for my price list or just say hello!

What People Are Saying

"I had the absolute pleasure of working with Nikki. She was refreshingly enthusiastic about taking some photos to go with my music. I sent her my songs and a bunch of colour/mood references, and I was thrilled that she had very similar ideas when she heard the song. Me, not usually being great friends with a camera, Nikki made me feel so comfortable, and guided me into pushing my boundaries a bit. I was so happy and surprised with the amount of photos we got out of our session. I can't stop raving about her to fellow music friends and I can't wait to work with her again!"

Rhiannon Atkinson-Howatt

"I shot with Nikki, and it was nothing but a fun and comfortable shoot! I rarely get comfortable with photographers who direct me in front of the camera, but Nikki had her personal way of making me feel at ease with her. I was honestly surprised to have seen the results when she showed my photos to me. I felt like she was able to capture the REAL me- my character, my imperfections, my personality, my flaws- into something very beautiful. Her work is definitely something I will keep for the rest of my life, and I hope to work wither her again."

Anna Escalona

"Nikki has captured two portrait sessions of me, once fully clothed submerged in water and the other, wearing nothing but lingerie. I have so much trust that what she captures will be absolute art. Nikki goes out of her way to involve you in the creative process, and if you don't know your "good angle" she'll find it. Her quick turn around and eye for post is incredible. Shooting is always accompanied by many laughs. Nikki is the one you want behind the lens, especially when in limited attire!"

"Nikki is absolutely awesome to work with. She's super flexible, creative and professional and was able to produce the most beautiful brand video for Collabosaurus. I was really impressed by the (unheard of!) turnaround time of under 48 hours and the quality of work is fabulous. I am thrilled to have found her creative genius and we cannot wait to work with Nikki again!"
